Preemie Proud Blogspot!

In need of assistance!

We have been trying to start a preemie blog that parents and family members can use to share their NICU journey, amazing birth stories and updates on their precious new babies. However, we seem to be doing something wrong! People are looking at our blog, but no one is posting!!!!!! Help! What are we doing wrong? We would love to hear your comments and opinions. With your help, I know we can make this a wonderful place for preemie parents, grandparents, family and friends.
All comments or suggestions can be posted here or sent to contactus@preemieproud.com .
Thank you in advance for your help!

A Valentine Wish!

This year is quickly slipping by. We have already made it to the February! And of course, February wouldn't be complete without Valentine's Day.

For us, my husband and I, our "Valentine" continues to grow and blossom before our eyes each day! She is six..going on 16! Braleigh is excelling in school, performing above grade level in reading and math and loving school as a whole. I volunteer in her classroom at least once a week and it amazing me to watch each child, their different personalities and how they interact with each other. Braleigh is a friend to all, quiet, sweet and very helpful to her classmates. I am so proud of her!

From our family to yours - Happy Valentine's Day!

Hopefully, this Valentine's Day will be wonderful for you and your new "Valentine". Be sure to give the newest member of your family an extra hug, extra kiss and tell them how special they are. And...don't forget to tell the rest of your family how much you love them and appreciate all of their love and support during this time in your life.

Have a great week!

P.S. Please be sure to remember baby Brayden as we posted a few days ago. Hopefully, by Valentine's Day, he and his mom will have milestones to share with family and friends.

A Grandmother's Prayer Request

Preemie Proud received this prayer request this morning. Please add this infant to your prayer list.

Two weeks ago on January 23rd, my daughter, Lori had her baby 3 months early due to preeclampsia. The baby, Brayden, weighed 1 lb. 10 oz. He is still with us but has had to have two blood transfusions because of low white blood cell counts. He now weighs 1 lb. 14 oz. but is having difficulty breathing and is on a cpap machine. Please add Lori and Brayden to your prayer list. Thanks, -Maureen

Premature Baby Prayer Page

Today we added a new page to our website. A Preemie Prayer page!

Lots of times, we are asked to remember various premature babies in our thoughts and prayers. We thought it would be nice to create a place preemie parents, grandparents, family members and friends to post prayer request for the new preemie in their life. Prayer request can be sent to prayers@preemieproud.com or they can be posted to this preemie blog.

I remember the overwhelming number of people we had praying for our daughter when she was born. Honestly, I don't know where we would have been today without all of those prayers.

If you would like to post a entry to our blog, please do.....share our blog page with others that may want to post entries for your baby or others. Or anyone that may be willing to pray for these babies as they are listed. We really would like this to be an active preemie blog for parents and families to use. (If you have trouble posting to our blog, please let us know contactus@preemieproud.com

Entries can also be made to our email address and will be posted daily to our prayer page on our website.

Hopefully, this will be a nice addition to our website and positive thing for all.

Happy New Years!

Now that Christmas is over and the end of the year is through, we find ourselves trying to restock and preparing for the year to come.

Thank you for a great December month and a wonderful 2009 year! We appreciate all of our preemie friends and customers.

Our inventory is currently a little lower than usual, but we are trying to add new items each day. Hopefully our inventory will be back up shortly. If you don't see something you like today, please check back with us during the upcoming days to see what is re-stocked or new.

Again, thank you for everything! We wish you all the best with your new premature baby and hope that 2010 is a miraculous year for each of you! Happy New Year!

Sincerely,

Crystal

Thanksgiving Holidays!

Each day we give thanks for the wonderful opportunity we have been given to be parents.

As the holiday season nears, we would like to give our preemie parents, grandparents, families and friends the opportunity to share what they are most thankful for.

We have created a "Giving Thanks" section on our wesite to post each of the submission we receive. This will be the first year for Giving Thanks post and we would love to hear from each of you. You can submit your entry by emailing us ( contactus@preemieproud.com ) or posting to this blog.

If you have a moment, please take the time to share your experiences with others who may be traveling the same road you are.

Happy Thanksgiving!
